Description
The word "compact" often conjures up thoughts of limitations, and in the world of sound reinforcement, often means compromising on functionality, connectivity, or sound quality, and possibly all three. In the past, choosing a compact console has mostly been a matter of what you're willing to sacrifice to get the features you need in the space available. The DM3 series destroys this stereotype, and offers impeccable sound quality, quick and easy setup and operation, and pofessional-level features for live sound, streaming, live or home recording, and music production- a combination of features unparalleled for console of this size. In an ever-changing world that always presents new challenges and opportunities, DM3 mixers give you the power and flexibility to do more with a compact digital console than you ever imagined.

Raising the bar for compact digital mixers

In 1987, Yamaha released the world's first digital mixer, the DMP7, ushering in a new era of consoles that offered greater functionality in a more compact design than their analog grandfathers. Decades later, the DM3 series sets a new standard in compact console performance, with versatile features and extreme portability that make it an invaluable tool in a wide range of applications and environments. The DM3 series consists of two models, the DM3 Standard and the DM3 - the first compact console to be totally compatible with Dante technology, making setting up multiple devices faster and easier. Both consoles feature multilingual user interfaces that can be configured for easy operation by users of different backgrounds and skill levels. At home in a live performance venue, in home studio, the DM3 Series makes it easy to transport your console to a gig, record and stream the audio, and then take it home to edit inside a DAW. Alternatively, use it as the main mixer for small performances on one day, and as a sub-mixer for live streaming the next, the DM3 series opens up endless opportunities.

A legacy of sonic purity

The perfect starting point for any audio engineering situation is transparent, uncolored sound. All Yamaha mixers share that philosophy, with the purpose of enabling engineers to capture stage sound accurately, with no coloration, and add creative flare as required. Despite the compact size of the DM3 Series, it's capable of sampling rates up to 96kHz, continuing the legacy of sonic purity, giving you the best possible starting point for mixing, recording, live streaming, or even installation applications.

Simple. Intuitive. Powerful.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of a digital console is the simplistic operation and accessibility of incredibly powerful tools and functions that would normally require a higher level of engineering experience, as well as a plethora of outboard gear to achieve in an analog rig. The DM3 Series embodies the “less is more” design ethos, utilizing a 9” touchscreen and a Touch & Turn knob for controlling most of the console's features, ensuing in a user experience akin to a smartphone.
