Yamaha's LP-type model SL-800 was produced in the 1970s and 1980s. This '70s style model has a maple top and a pancake structured mahogany back body. It has a weighty, rich low mid and a sound that is not too rambunctious. The bi-sound system and the careful Japanese manufacturing are also attractive features of this model.
