The Best and the Rest

TC Electronic have painstakingly recreated the original 2290, while adding modern features to suit today's players, and expanded select effect parameter ranges refined for guitar players. Examples of these modern inclusions are the guitar-friendly Feedback Loop, which allows you to insert additional external effects stompboxes and processors to affect only the wet signal, and the option to use sub-divisions to control the Modulation section.

But that's not all - with the 2290 P app, you get full control over your pedal, and by connecting an expression pedal to the EXP jack, you can control any effects parameter - or three parameters simultaneously!

Covering More than One Base

Known and adored for it's characterful dynamic delay sounds, the 2290 also offered a selection of modulation sounds and comprehensive panning options in a stereo setup - which TC Electronic have carried over to the new 2290 P.

A crucial design element of both pedals is the ability to independently control the delay trails and original sound. Add modulation to the delayed notes within 2290 P, or affect the delay trails with your favourite stompboxes and external effects units by inserting them into the Feedback Loop.

When it comes to panning, 2290 P offers three options: Affect the entire signal, both wet and dry, pan only the delay between the left and right channels, or affect only the original dry signal.

Playing the Long Delay Game

Hugely memory intensive, boasting a massive 9.999 seconds of delay time, 2290 P offers an incredible degree of control over each of the repeated notes. Knowing that you'll never "run out of time" means you can focus on the creative aspect of fine-tuning the delay trails.

In essence, 2290 P is a machine built to inspire your playing and spark your creativity - a pedal that gives you the creative edge to stand out from the rest.

A Rhapsody of Ravishing Repeats

With three sections at your disposal - FEEDBACK, DELAY, and SUB.D - you get meticulous control over the repeated notes.

Set the number of repeats and shape the fundamental tone with the FEEDBACK section using high and low-cut filters to tame frequencies between 1-20kHz and 0-800Hz respectively. This leaves your original signal completely in-tact, only affecting the delay trails.

Each feedback is passed through the filter again, gradually filtering each repeat more and more for a more natural sounding delay trail that fades out organically. Paired with a slow and subtle delay modulation, 2290 P replicates the sound of a true analog delay.

Control the delay time using the DELAY section, which offers a visual indication via the TIME LED, and engage the integrated modulation engine to impart some immersive texture and movement to your sound. Finally, the SUB.D section allows you to select the sub-division of the delay time you tap into 2290 P.

Revealing Retro Vibes

When powering up the 2290 P for the first time, you'll discover a world of retro mojo and vibe that remains faithful to the legendary original unit - transporting you back in time for an immersive playing experience.

While the original 2290 was a rackmount design, the 2290 P has evolved into a pedal format that lives on the floor - a far more precarious environment to exist in. To combat this, TC Electronic have included a magnetic plate that effortlessly snaps to the frame, keeping the buttons and display as well protected as possible during your performances.

Tap, Twist, and Turn

When performing on stage, there's a good chance you've already programmed the 2290 P, but different venues and rooms mean you might need to make quick tweaks on the fly - you can do exactly that using the "Quick Dial" knob - and with three footswitches, you can effortlessly engage and bypass 2290, scroll through banks, and tap the tempo.

The Power of Presets

Right out of the box, 2290 P is loaded with a collection of 128 presets designed by TC Electronics, as well as some of the world's top artists and producers, and you get the ability to create, save, and recall up to 128 of your own presets. 2290 P features a list of presets from the original 2290 rack unit to inspire your creativity. Once you've tweaked the presets to your liking, or have created new ones from nothing, you can overwrite and reorganize your patches to suit your needs.

Using the dedicated 2290 P desktop app, you're able to import, export, rename, backup, restore, organize, and share presets, and map MIDI Program Changes both ways.

Two Ways to Flow your Signal

2290 P offers both True Bypass and Buffered Bypass operation, so you can configure it to suit your exact pedalboard configuration, personal preference, and overall needs.
