Description

The Strymon UltraViolet delivers all the warm gritty warble, the textured, moving non-linear modulations, and dynamic response to your playing - the hallmarks of an authentically classic Vibe experience. The perfect Vibe pedal encourages you to dig in while playing without a second thought - a characteristic that was previously difficult to find outside of large and expensive vintage analog units, until now. Thicker than any chorus, and beefier than any phaser, UltraViolet is the ultimate secret weapon in front of a driven amp. Offering classically immersive Vibe sounds that are second to none, this pedal features a simple and powerful streamlined set of controls - allowing you to discover a wealth of lush and captivating textures. UltraViolet is the ultimate Vibe pedal. Vintage Plus With a simple and responsive control layout, UltraViolet offers a far greater amount of sonic potential than traditional vibe pedals. Additional to the traditional Chorus (50% wet) and Vibrato (100% wet) modes, this pedal also features a new Blend mode (30% wet) for a greater range of inspiring tones and subtle modulation effects. With the Bias switch, you get even greater sonic flexibility with three unique types of sweep shape and tone emphasis. At slow speeds, the intensity range exceeds that of traditional vibe circuits to push even further into warm, swirling tonal territory. UltraViolet lets you harness classic Vibe tones, and beyond. All New Algorithm? UltraViolet's new Vibe algorithm features meticulous recreations of each element of the iconic optical Vibe circuit, down to their interdependencies, to offer a dynamic playing experience. Carefully tuned, the entire system has been replicated to offer the finest sounds a Vibe pedal can offer - from the effects of the bias, speed, LFO waveshape on the pulsing of the lamp, to the response of the light-dependent resistors that govern the center frequencies of the staggered phasing filters. Stereo MIDI Rig Ready Featuring full stereo I/O capabilities, UltraViolet's TRS stereo input and output can be utilized in a dual-mono configuration, allowing you to place it anywhere in your signal chain, without impacting your stereo image. With 300 available preset locations, UltraViolet's full MIDI connectivity means it's always ready for a MIDI rig. Along with the TRS MIDI, UltraViolet also features a USB-C connector, which lets you perform MIDI control via a computer, or update the pedal's firmware. Connect an expression pedal to control any combination of parameters in any direction for hands-free control without MIDI, or connect an optional external switch to control tap tempo or recall your favourite presets. Finally, thanks to the on-board high-impedance, ultra-low-noise discrete Class-A JFET stereo input preamp, UltraViolet offers outstanding touch response, dynamics, and playing feel - all in a robust and sophisticated form factor. MIDI - Limitless Possibilities  With 300 available presets and comprehensive MIDI functionality, you can control UltraViolet remotely by sending MIDI commands from a controller or DAW via the EXP/MIDI jack or USB-C connection. Engage or bypass the pedal remotely, adjust Speed or other parameters from your DAW, or recall a different preset for each song in your setlist. The possibilities are endless! True/Buffered Bypass - Choose Your Bypass Mode. Select between electromechanical relay-switched true-bypass for a completely pristine and untouched signal when the pedal is in bypass, and Strymon's premium buffered bypass mode, which keeps your signal's integrity in tact by preventing the high-end dampening that can occur in longer cable runs. JFET Input - Analog Touch. UltraViolet feels just as good as it sounds, offering uncompromising dynamics and feel with exceptional touch sensitivity and response thanks to a high-impedance, ultra-low-noise discrete Class-A JFET preamp input. Stereo - Moving in Stereo With UltraViolet, you don't need to compromise on signal routing or pedal placement. Even though it looks like a standard mono effect, it's equipped with a single TRS input and a TRS output jack in a dual-mono configuration - giving you a powerful compact pedal that still offers complete Stereo compatibility. Simply select your desired audio routing via a dedicated Input switch on the rear panel. ARM Processor - Power to the Pedal Thanks to leaps in technology lead by mobile phones and laptops, Strymon pedals are able to perform more simultaneous processes than ever before, with significantly reduced current consumption - allowing more processing power to deliver every sonic nuance and detail, and less power draw on your pedalboard.
