The Cloudburst is so much more than how it appears on the surface. With a simple look and feel, it produces some of the most stunning ambient reverb effects and soundscapes that you've ever heard in a guitar pedal - there's nothing quite like it.
Instant Ambient Bliss
The all-new Ensemble engine, in combination with powerful ambience processing, is capable of creating pads and soundscapes that organically follow what you're playing - so changing pickups, or playing in a different position on the neck will yield different results. Unlike anything ever heard before, the Cloudburst is contained within a small pedal format that still manages to boast full stereo I/O, TRS MIDI and USB-C connectors on the back panel.
Celestial String Section
Unveil an entirely new world of mesmerizing sounds never before heard in a reverb pedal using the Cloudburst's Ensemble switch. Use it subtly to add otherworldly dimension that's rich in harmonics to your immersive reverb soundscapes, or use it liberally to add a lush synthesized string swell under your guitar parts - Ensemble reacts to your entire guitar signal in a way that's organic and musical, delivering an incredibly responsive and distinctively inviting playing experience.
From Small Rooms to Infinite Spaces
From meticulously-tuned, natural small spaces at one extreme, to vast, immersive atmospheres at the other, the Cloudburst delivers multiple reverb experiences. Turning the Decay control automatically adjusts numerous internal parameters, enabling this ambient reverb pedal to produce incredible studio-quality reverbs of any size at the turn of a single knob.
Compact With No Compromises
With unmatched ease of use, and some of the finest reverb algorithms Strymon have ever created, Cloudburst still boasts the premium components, sound quality and road-ruggedness that Strymon is known for. Cloudburst's power and small form factor could make it the only reverb pedal you need on your pedalboard.
Limitless Possibilities.
Get full control of the Cloudburst by sending it remote MIDI commands from a controller or DAW using the EXP/MIDI jack or USB-C connection. Cloudburst's full MIDI implementation and 300 presets allow users to bypass or engage the pedal, automate decay time, or other knob adjustments, or recall specific presets for each song on your setlist. The possibilities are endless with MIDI control.
More Features
Choose Your Bypass Mode - Choose between electromechanical relay-switched true bypass for a 100% pure and unprocessed signal when the pedal is bypassed (default), or Strymon's premium buffered bypass, which preserves your signal’s integrity by alleviating the high frequency damping that can be apparent in longer cable runs.
Analog Touch - Thanks to a high-impedance, ultra-low noise and discreet Class A JFET preamp, Cloudburst feels just as good as it sounds, delivering unparalleled dynamics and feel, with outstanding touch sensitivity and responsiveness.
Moving In Stereo - Even though it might look like it’s a standard mono effect, there’s no need to make compromises when it comes to signal routing or pedal placement with Cloudburst — it’s a stereo reverb pedal with full stereo in/out capabilities.
Don't compromise when it comes to signal flow or pedal placement - while Cloudburst may look like a standard mono effect, it's actually a true stereo reverb pedal with full stereo in/out capabilities. With single TRS input and output jacks, this pedal remains compact while providing the option to use it in stereo. Use the dedicated rear panel Input switch to determine the audio routing, select between Mono In -> Mono Out, Mono In -> Stereo Out, or Stereo In -> Stereo Out.
