Straight out of the box, Atlas delivers six different styles of compression, ranging from classic stompbox compressors like the now-discontinued Diamond Optical Compressor to high-end rack units such as the snappy 1176 compressor and the smooth and gentle LA2A optical compressor. Atlas also features advanced dual-band compression, which provides an independent set of controls for both the high and low frequencies. Each compression engine has onboard controls for Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, Output, Tone, and Blend, allowing for fine-tuned control over the compact One Series hardware. The Atlas is packed with so many different types of compression that it could serve as a tour guide through the history of compressor equipment.  First stop: classic stompbox squashers such as the legendary the Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer and the excellent (but discontinued) Diamond Compressor. Next stop: universal and ubiquitous studio rack gear like the smooth and gentle LA2A optical compressor and the ultra-responsive 1176 FET compressor.  Finally, we’re taking you to all-out nerd territory with Peak, RMS, VCA, and Dual compression, and an onboard Expander circuit… the Atlas has it all and does it well. Features Compressor effects pedal Switchable guitar / bass mode Bass mode converts all factory presets to be used with a bass guitar (adjusted dynamic range and attack characteristics) 6 selectable types of compression (2x Optical, 1x VCA, 1x FET, 2x Dual-Band) including LA2A Optical Compression (warm and smooth compression), 1176 Feedback FET Compression (full body and a super-fast attack), LED Optical Compressor (similar concept as the LA2A, but with a quicker, dirtier response) and Rackmount VCA-style compression (fast response and a hard knee) Two selectable dual compressor modes can be used in in a variety of ways (Series, Parallel, Band Split) Additional compressor types available via Neuro Editor Direct access to all essential compression parameters Auto Makeup Gain automatically increases or decreases the Makeup Gain depending on the amount of compression Look Ahead Compression creates an imperceptible latency in the signal that 'looks into the future' and allows for an extra quick and smooth attack without any additional distortion or artifacts Side Chain Compression uses the signal going to Input 2 to trigger the compression applied to the signal going into Input 1 3-band parametric or 8-band graphic equalizers available via Neuro Editor Adjustable noise gate Create, save, and share presets with the Neuro Desktop Editor or the Neuro Mobile App Full MIDI capabilities with the Source Audio Neuro Hub Controls for Threshold, Ratio (Tone), Blend (Attack), Output (Release) Preset toggle switch for 6 onboard presets ALT control button activates secondary function of the pots Bypass footswitch Status LEDs Brushed anodized aluminum housing Universal bypass, analog buffered or relay-based true bypass selectable 2x 6.3 mm TRS stereo inputs 2x 6.3 mm TRS stereo outputs Mini USB Port for PC connectivity (Windows and Mac compatible) 3.5 mm control input jack to control up to four parameters with and external expression pedal Power supply via included 9V DC (SR SA 153) adapter, 2.1 x 5.5 mm barrel plug, polarity (-) center Current draw 165 mA Battery operation not supported imensions: L: 4.5 in./11.4cm x W: 2.75 in./7cm x H: 2 in./5.1cm (including knobs) Watch: Atlas Compressor: The Official Source Audio Demo
