This all-new range of tones is easily accessible on the Studio model thanks to the push/pull tone control and 5-way blade switch. With a total of seven combinations, the PRS Studio covers classic tones while still maintaining a unique tone that makes it the perfect "desert island" guitar. For 2024, PRS Guitars is updating the tuning mechanisms of many of its core guitars. Our new Wing Knobs aesthetically match the 12-fret Bird Wingspan design, but were developed in 1982 primarily for tonal reasons. These buttons are lighter than the previous metal buttons, so they capture less energy from the vibrating strings, helping the guitar sound longer and more musical.
