Small Body, Big Voice With a solid Spruce top and Figured Maple back and sides, the PRS SE P50E may be small, but it's voice is powerful and unique. Bringing an elaborate new aesthetic to the well loved parlor styling, the reduced body size achieves bold projection and a focused sound, while the back and sides offer a round and warm character. The PRS hybrid "X"/Classical bracing design lets the top resonate freely, with a sophisticated three-dimensional sound to immerse yourself in. Rounding out the construction is a shorter scale length of 24.72", which makes the P50E incredibly comfortable, and a pleasure to play for hour after hour.
The PRS SE P50E is also equipped with a specially voiced PRS Fishman Sonitone pickup to accurately reproduce the organic tone in all it's dynamic glory, letting the real sound of the instrument come through unobscured. With a very musical EQ profile, almost as if you've mic'd the guitar, the electronics system uses an undersaddle pickup and a preamp mounted in the soundhole with easy access to the tone and volume controls. Impeccable construction aside, the PRS SE P50E is absolutely stunning as the Abalone purfling and classic PRS Bird inlays, Ebony fretboard and bridge and bone nut and saddle elevate this guitar to an elaborate new level.
