The all-mahogany body construction of the PRS Hollowbody Standard Piezo delivers classic, resonant tone - and voiced by a pair of PRS 58/15 LT "S" humbuckers and an LR Baggs/PRS Piezo system - this instrument delivers the flexibility of both acoustic and electric tones in one instrument. Containing two independent volume controls (magnetics and piezo) and an output jack for each, players can connect directly to the "Mix/Piezo" jack and use the discrete volume controls to blend the humbucking pickups with the piezo acoustic tones. Players can also connect to the jacks seperately, so the guitar can send the signal from magnetic pickups into an amplifier, and the piezo directly into a DI or into the PA. When connected only to the magnetic output jack, the piezo battery is disconnected completely, acting as a failsafe. Rounding out the features on this stunning instrument are a 25" scale, wide fat bound Mahogany neck with a 22-fret Ebony fretboard, bone nut, and adjustable Piezo stoptail bridge.
