The DW CE 24 "Floyd" model starts with a PRS CE bolt-on platform, with a satin maple neck, maple fingerboard, and a slightly modified pattern thin neck carve (Waring’s carve is slightly thinner front to back), and a Floyd Rose tremolo system. The pickups and electronics are also unique to Waring's signature axe. The pickups are Waring's signature Mojotone Dustie Waring Gen 2 Tomahawk pickups. Manufactured with high quality Alnico 5 magnets and special winding technique, Mojotone Dustie Waring Gen 2 Tomahawks provide plenty of power and big bass while remaining crisp and clear - a unique quality of high gain pickups. Combined with volume and tone controls and a slightly moved 5-way pickup selector, leave plenty of room to work the tremolo, the DW CE 24 “Floyd” makes playing comfortable, fun, and inspiring.
