Ibanez JBM27 Jake Bowen Signature 7-String Electric Guitar

The JBM27's three-piece Maple Wizard II-7 neck provides smooth access to the upper frets and long sustain. The JBM27 features a mahogany body with a maple top and a bound Jatoba fingerboard with jumbo frets with Jake's own custom inlay at the 12th fret. Additionally, it has an upside-down headstock that provides another visual distinction. Given the strain that peripherals put on the instrument, it was very important to Bowen to have an easy-to-adjust and highly stable tremolo system. Jake chose the Ibanez Edge Zero II-7 bridge not only for its impressive and reliable performance, but also because it keeps his picking hand from touching it. Gotoh MG-T locking tuners ensure superior tuning stability and make string changes quicker. The JBM27 also features Bowen's signature DiMarzio Titan 7 pickups, which DiMarzio developed under Jake's close tutelage. Bowen describes it as the perfect combination of tight and aggressive. The JBM27 is tuned to drop G# (1D#, 2A#, 3F#, 4C#, 5G#, 6D#, 7G#) and comes with a soft case.
