Featuring the classic 7-ply Maple Gretsch construction shells with 30° bearing edges and exclusive "Silver Sealer" interiors, Renown is also equipped with the same "302" hoop as featured on Gretsch's Brooklyn and Broadcaster series drums. Delivering the iconic focused tone and response of a die-cast hoop, 302 hoops are lighter in weight and less rigid, allowing the shell to breath unimpeded, maximizing resonance. Renown delivers that legendary open Gretsch sound with plenty of stunningly musical harmonics that gives these shells the versatility to be the first choice for the most discerning drummers.
Rounded out with numerous classic Gretsch appointments, Renown boasts incredible style and performance - from the lightweight, off-the-shell mounting system, stylish lugs, brackets, memory locks, and kick drum spurs with the iconic "T-Wing" screw.
