At its core, the Fender Shields Blender reflects the sound of Shields' own vintage 1970s Fender Blender, carefully hand-tracing the circuitry from his personal fuzz box. This vintage circuit is based on a completely new way to control and mix the original fuzz voice, all designed with performance in mind using four easily accessible footswitches. Two footswitchable fuzz channels, each with its own level control, give you the ability to mix fuzz voices with a clean signal, or blend it with powerful sub-octave fuzz, while the sag footswitch provides superbly unique sputtering and ducking effects. Everything being controlled by the intensity of your playing dynamics.
