Making his mark in L.A. playing bass on tour and in studio for John Mayer, while keeping up an astounding pace as a world-renowned studio bassist with artists such as Ringo Starr, Annie Lennox, Robin Thicke, Alanis Morissette, Vertical Horizon, and Colbie Caillat, Sean Hurley is definitely no stranger to Bass - even recently recording Mayer's Born and Raised along with the latest release, Paradise Valley, with his well-loved vintage '61 Fender Precision Bass. The Fender Custom Shop has now replicated Hurley's bass, in all it's vintage glory, even down to the unique Fender string mute - a feature added when designers noticed a piece of foam Hurley had stuffed under the strings in front of the bridge to assist with dampening the strings. This Fender string mute is a feature never offered on a Fender bass before, and can easily be engaged at any point while playing. Specifications
