EMG GZR P Geezer Butler P Bass Pickup Set

To recreate Geezer's early Black Sabbath sound, new vintage-style passive P and PJ designs were developed by EMG with some modern touches. The fully soldered P sets use Alnico V pole pieces and custom-wound coils for just the right amount of punch and bite. The J (PJ set) also uses Alnico 5-pole and features two specially wound split coils. This eliminates the hiss and hum typically associated with early 70's bass pickups, gives it more power and volume than other standard single coil J's, and creates a surprising balance between the P and J.
