In Cole Clark's quest to design fresh and exciting products for today's touring musician, they have unveiled several dual-output humbucker models - an idea that arose from numerous artists who had added electric pickups to their guitars in search of a dirty sound as a result of retrofitting a pickup in the sound hole. Apart from damaging their rosettes, placing an electric pickup in that position is not conducive to a good dirty tone. Most electric guitarists use the bridge pickup to achieve this, so as a result, Cole Clark decided to introduce players to a guitar with a correctly placed, fine-tuned, and stable pickup with dual outputs.
The CCTL2EC-BLBL-HUM Acoustic Guitar features their exclusive 3-way acoustic pickup and all it's usual settings. The humbucker, volume and tone knobs on the face of the guitar are a totally separate output jack that, ideally, players will connect to an amplifier for a truly unique and uncompromising electric guitar tone to blend with, or augment the acoustic tone. An added switch on the face allows players to switch from acoustic, to electric, or both, with ease.
While two outputs may seem like overkill to some, the reason for their inclusion is to have access to the best of both worlds, rather than just having a single output that uses both pickups that is limited in its abilities. In simple terms, an acoustic guitar should be connected to a PA, while an electric should be sent to an amplifier.
