True to the Original
The ODYSSEY has been meticulously engineered down to the original iconic analog VCO, VCF, and VCA designs and circuitry which combine to create an immersive and authentic recreation. This painstaking attention to detail is what makes the ODYSSEY such a versatile sound-shaping tool, covering everything from thick, fat bass and lead sounds, to stunning effects, and otherworldly sounds that live inside your imagination.
Versatile Oscillators
The product of dual analog Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs), ODYSSEY's two voices give you a selection of sawtooth, square/pulse with pulse-width modulation, or sine/square wave LFO for creating the ultimate sound, giving you all the tools you need to spark your creative vision.
Versatile VCF
An incredibly flexible Voltage Control Filter (VCF) is the backbone of ODYSSEY's sound, with faders for Frequency, Resonance (0 to self-oscillation), and High Pass Filter (HPF) Cutoff Frequency. ODYSSEY features a 3-position switch, not included on the original unit, which allows you to select the VCF filter you want from all 3 versions of the iconic synth: 2-pole MKI (4023), 4-pole MKII (4035), and 4-pole MKIII (4075), along with a Drive switch to add some grit and dirt to your sounds.
The Envelope, Please...
With two easy-to-use Envelope Generators: AR (Attack and Release) and ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release), with 2 and 4 faders respectively, ODYSSEY lets you create incredible sounds. Featuring switches for ADSR Gate/LFO Repeat, AR Gate/LFO Repeat or Keyboard Repeat/Auto Repeat, you get access to a vast range of performance options.
Onboard Sequencer & Arpeggiator
Program up to 32 steps of notes and rests and save them as a pattern using ODYSSEY's sequencer. Record, save, and recall up to 64 patterns, which can all be stored in the 8 banks, each consisting of 8 patterns. You can create, play, and store your sequences in Keyboard Mode, or interact while composing the pattern in Step Mode. With 8 patterns, the integrated Arpeggiator allows you to play a chord while the arpeggiator sequences through your desired pattern. The ODYSSEY's sequencer and arpeggiator are immersive, mesmerizing, and addictive.

A Passion for Keyboards
Uli Behringer, founder of Behringer, has a deep and profound passion for keyboards. Uli was born in the small Swiss town of Baden, and was brought up in a musical family, where his mother taught him to play the piano at age four. His father was a scientist, and built a huge organ in their family home, and taught Uli all about electronics. By age 17, Uli Behringer built his first synthesizer, the UB-1. Later, while attending college to pursue a degree in audio engineering, Uli used his electronics knowledge to build his own equalizers and signal processors compensate for his university's lack of proper studio equipment. As word got out about how great his products were, he started to build gear for his friends, while simultaneously building the coveted Behringer legacy that stands to this day, and the rest is history...
