Description
Before starting his own business, Seymour worked at the Fender Soundhouse in London. The Yardbirds were kings at the time, and Seymour would befriend some of his favorite musicians, rewinding pickups for them when needed. One of these custom rewind specialties was for a very special player, and as a result of Seymour's meticulous record keeping, that pickup lives on to this day. The recipe for this set of his pickups begins with a rough cast alnico 5 magnet, plain enamel wire, and Seymour's one-of-a-kind winding pattern. The bridge is a vintage hot 8.78k DC resistance, and the neck is 8.20k and is just as muscly. Rough cast magnets add richness and balance, making every sound huge. What makes Whole Lotta humbucker pickups tonally unique is the way they drive an amp and add just a touch of natural compression and sustain to your tone. Handcrafted in Santa Barbara, California, Whole Lotta humbuckers use rough-cast alnico 5 bar magnets, nickel silver bottom plates, 4-conductor wiring for multiple wiring configurations, and are wax-potted for squeal-free playing.
