In the 1980's, Seymour Duncan developed a unique bottom coil that injects negative hum into the pickup circuit. The Custom Stack Plus features Alnico 5 rod magnets to achieve the authentic signature Strat tone, and the 3-conductor wire allows players to switch to true single coil mode with lower output and increased chime. Each pickup is fine-tuned for maximum noise cancellation at the end of the production process, and every pickup is wax-potted for squeal-free operation.
