Description
The Pearly Gates humbuckers turn any Les Paul-style guitar into a classic rock outlaw. The Pearly Gates neck delivers all the vibe of the original neck pickup from Billy Gibbons' 1959 Les Paul. This P.A.F. has a unique tonal variation that offers more midrange than typical humbuckers of that era. The result is a neck pickup that cuts through with a more defined midrange, but still has the open and bitey attack of the Alnico 2 Bar magnet. Coupled with a rich, spongy low end, this pickup is ideal for both rhythm and lead players. Seymour Duncan found that Billy's bridge pickup to be slightly hotter than most P.A.F.s, which helped give it the extra teeth that make this pickup stand out. The Alnico 2 bar magnet keep the highs airy, but focused while boosting the mids to create a distinctive Texan fizz. It has a snarl of its own and brings humbucker-equipped instruments to life. Handcrafted in the Seymour Duncan Santa Barbara, California factory, the Pearly Gates vintage output humbucker uses alnico 2 bar magnet, nickel silver base plate, 4-conductor wiring for multiple wiring configurations, and vacuum-wax potted for squeal-free performance. The Pearly Gates bridge is available in both standard humbucking and Trembucker spacing. All Pearly Gates style humbuckers are wound on Seymour's original Leesona winding machine from Gibson's early factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan for a unapologetic vintage mojo. TECH SPECS:
