Description
The original Blackouts high output active bridge humbucker provides all the grunt and full-range bite that the metal players of today expect from an active pickup. The hot signal level of active pickups and the natural touch response and open tonal character that lets the guitar's true character shine through. The treble and bass response extends beyond the range of typical active pickups and is carefully balanced with a slightly scooped midrange for optimal punch. This pickup shines with tearing pinch harmonics, retains articulation for fast riffing, and responsive dynamics across the fretboard. If you're playing the types of metal that require lower tunings and extended ranges, Blackouts are also available in 7- and 8-string versions. With pristine highs and thumping lows, these pickups will retain the clarity in your riffs down to low B or dropped A (for 7 strings), and low F# or dropped E (for 8 strings). No matter how much gain you play with, these pickups won't break a sweat with a very quiet and powerful performance. Whether the instrument is routed for passive or active pickups, there's a blackout to fit it. These high output active pickups come complete with everything to install them: pots, hardware, quick connector cables, capacitor (active pickups require particular cap values), output jack, battery clip, and necessary wiring. If your guitar already has active pickups with quick connect cables, just unplug the old pickups and plug in your Blackouts.
