This special ride cymbal is heavily hand hammered, then lathed, resulting in multiple thicknesses across it's surface, and then hammered for a second time. The outcome is a cymbal with incredibly bold articulation, a complex and big sounding crash with a pleasing splash on the attack. The bell produces a higher pitch than the fundamental note of the cymbal, making the Sessions Ride a secret weapon workhorse in the studio, and a beast on stage.
