Paiste 2002 Cup Chime Cymbals deliver a bright, warm, and brilliant tone with a wide range and clean mix. Designed to be soft yet highly responsive, these cymbals offer a glassy, explosive attack that evolves into a rich, modulating fade. The distinct, dominant center tone is enhanced by lively over- and undertones, making it perfect for adding a splash of sonic character—especially when mounted upside-down over a ride bell.

Originally launched in 1971, the iconic 2002 Series blends the power of the Giant Beat with the finesse of the Formula 602 Jazz line. Revived in 2005, the series was updated by incorporating the best elements of the Dimensions line to meet modern demands—while staying true to its roots as the first cymbal series designed specifically for amplified music. Crafted from Paiste’s signature CuSn8 “2002 Bronze” alloy, these cup chimes are a timeless addition for drummers seeking bold, musical expression.
