Taking cues from the original Orange Tiny Terror, the Dark Terror takes the classic 'lunchbox amp' and gives it a dark, modern edge. Designed with high-gain heavy tones in mind, the 4-stage preamp utilizes technology from Orange's flagship amplifiers, packing their finest distortion into a compact, 15W unit. Featuring an all-tube effects loop, and output power switching capabilities, the Dark Terror delivers demonic distortion, along with fantastic clean and crunch sounds - doing so much more than just metal!
High Gain is Just the Beginning
The Dark Terror boasts enough power on tap for even the most gain-hungry modern metal shredders, and with four cascading gain stages, it features the same painstakingly engineered gain structure as Orange's flagship Dual Dark and Rockerverb amplifiers - designed for maximum clarity and articulation, even with huge amounts of gain. Just like it's bigger brothers, the Dark Terror's Gain control can be dialed back for clean, crunch, and blues tones.
Shape Control
A feature shared with the Dark Terror's arena-filling bigger brother, the Shape control adjusts the amp's midrange voicing by simultaneously cutting mids and boosting bass and treble - and ranges from thick, mid-heavy punch to classic scooped metal.
Tube-Buffered Effects Loop
Not complete without a high-quality effects loop, the Dark Terror features Orange's ultra-transparent, all-tube effects loop design ensures your signal path is recreated faithfully, regardless of how complex your pedalboard might be.
PPC112
One of the most popular 1x12" cabinets available today, the Orange PPC112 employs a closed-back design, with an enclosure constructed from 18mm Birch Plywood, making it slightly larger than traditional 1x12" cabinets. This increased internal volume allows the PPC112 to deliver huge, fat tone with outstanding projection. Voiced by a single Celestion Vintage 30 speaker, this cabinet also features Orange's exclusive skid runners on the base, acoustically coupling the cabinet to the stage for an improved low end response. The perfect companion cab for small format amplifier heads.
