The Rectifier® 2x12 Vertical Slant has approximately the same internal surface area as the Horizontal 2x12 Recto cabinet and has similar overall sound, punch, and detail, but some players prefer the slant style to achieve a monitor effect from the sloped top speaker. If you prefer cabinets but you can't bring a 4x12 cabinet to a gig or session, the 2x12 Recto Vertical Slant Cab easily provides a similar soundstage without the size or weight. We know many folks would be fooled into thinking this was a 4x12 with the huge sound it can produce, but we promise, this 2x12 is just that good. All MESA® cases are made from the highest quality void-free marine grade Baltic birch. Super strong rabbet corners are fixed with glue and nails. The speaker baffles are equipped with quality dado joint construction and braced. Grilles are wrapped around a separate grille board, rather than a baffle board. Grille material is made from durable twisted jute dipped in a special coating that filters the top end to provide a smooth response.
