Korg prologue is a fully-programmable, full-featured, professional synthesizer. Preceded by the four-voice polyphonic minilogue and the monophonic monologue, it’s the long awaited debut of the flagship: the prologue. Prologue is a polyphonic analog synthesizer equipped with a full-sized keyboard. With powerful analog circuits that are descended directly from the earlier models of the series, together with a newly developed digital multi engine and gorgeous DSP-based effects, prologue expands the variety of sounds and the possibilities for user customization. The lineup is comprised of two models that cover musicians’ needs for not only stage use, but also studio, home, or touring use: 16-voice 61-key prologue-16, and the eight-voice 49-key prologue-8. These instruments are capable of sounds that go beyond existing analog synthesizers.Watch the video below for a glimpse at what the Prologue is capable of:   PROLOGUE FEATURES AT A GLANCE: 16/8-voice analog synthesizer circuit. This is Korg’s flagship analog synth, I have the 16-voice model here but there is also an 8-voice model available. Both are made in Japan. Whilst prologue is Korg’s flagship analog synth, it is in fact a hybrid synth. So there are 3 oscillators: 2 analog and 1 digital. The digital oscillator is called the Multi Engine. It is brand new tech, developed specifically for the prologue. It is capable of all sorts of wonderful, unusual and interesting sounds. From big, brash analog pad sounds like that through to more kind of classic 80’s FM types of sounds. On top of all that it’s also a Bi-Tambral Synth, so you can have two patches loaded at the same time. With the prologue 16 that would be two 8-voice, analog synths. We can, for example, have a nice smooth pad layered with an arpeggiator lead. The prologue is available for purchase right now from Mega Music’s website or head on into the store and try it out for yourself. Thanks very much for watching.
