The SLAT8 MS features an arched basswood body and full-length maple neck with molded joints, graphite reinforcement for maximum neck stability, a 12"-16" compound radius laurel fretboard with 24 jumbo frets, a single-ply bound neck, a Jackson 4x4 AT1 headstock and Jackson die-cast tuners. A pair of modern EMG® 909 humbucking pickups, specially selected for complementary tones, drive this guitar's versatile tone, providing a highly balanced and flexible tone with plenty of high output for natural cleans and growling distortion. Separate volume and tone controls shape the pickup's output and can be further tweaked with a three-way toggle switch, allowing you to achieve exactly the tone you need to realise your musical vision. To improve intonation, the guitar is fitted with Jackson-designed individual bridge saddles, staggered for the two scale lengths.
