An elegantly carved Poplar body and pure Jackson neck-through-body construction provide ergonomic comfort for long sets, while boasting incredible sustain and smooth feel across the entire length of the neck. The Maple neck is reinforced with graphite rods, protecting it from environmental influences and changing climates, and features an incredibly fast Laurel fretboard. The 12"-16" compound radius of the fretboard is designed for simple chording and riffing near the nut, and rapid leads that wont fret-out as you move up the neck.
Voiced by a powerful trio of Jackson pickups - a high-output humbucking bridge pickup and two Jackson double rail pickups - the SL3X DX boasts rich, complimentary harmonics and incredibly dynamic touch response. Dial in the perfect sound with the 5-way blade pickup selector and master volume and tone controls.
The easy-to-use recessed Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge system ensures that your instrument returns to its original tuning after every dive-bomb or vibrato, giving you a sonic edge for your leads and solos. Graphite-Reinforced Neck-Through-Body Construction
A hallmark in Jackson's instruments since 1980, the neck-though-body construction extends the piece of wood used for the neck through the entire length of the body, maximizing sustain and player comfort. The SL3X DX's neck also features graphite-reinforcement rods, resulting in a rock-solid instrument that can withstand the rigors of touring.
12"-16" Compound Radius Maple Fretboard
Jackson pioneered the use of the cutting-edge 12"-16" compound radius design - where the profile of the Maple fretboard gradually gets flatter toward the heel, and is more rounded at the nut. This results in a comfortable and natural-feeling chording and riffing close to the nut, and incredibly fast and articulated shredding and bending closer to the heel.
