The AW5412 features a solid mahogany top that will increase in harmonic richness as it ages, as well as mahogany back and sides. Styled in an open pore natural finish, the Ibanez Artwood Series AW5412CE is a 12-string, dreadnought acoustic/electric guitar with a solid mahogany top, mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany neck. The guitar's large, single-cutaway body delivers a powerful, expansive, and balanced acoustic sound. Unplugged or amplified, the instrument is well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band.
The neck has been set into the body using a dovetail joint and features a 25.6" scale with a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard. The bridge is also fashioned from ovangkol, and utilizes Ibanez Advantage bridge pins to secure all 12 strings.
For electronics, the instrument offers a Fishman Sonicore pickup with an AEQ-SP2 preamp from Ibanez. In addition to its volume and tone controls, the preamp also comes with a built-in tuner. Use the standard 1/4" output to plug into any acoustic amplifier, or utilize the balanced XLR output to plug straight into the house PA without need for an external DI.
