Falcon 5 features single-channel simplicity with a focus on great sound and ease of use. A very simple and pure signal path design features volume and tone controls, as well as the addition of reverb. This is an unusual but welcome feature for a tube amp of this compact size and power range, and it adds dimension and greatly improves the amp's enjoyment and utility over a wide range of music styles. Knowledgeable players have long recognised that one of the secrets to a great overdrive sound is power amp overdrive, and lower-powered amps are key to turning up and achieving that cranked power amp sound without overwhelming volume levels. The Gibson Falcon 5 1x10 Combo is perfect for those looking for a touch-sensitive, subtle response at the lower end of the gain and power spectrum, with rich harmonies of vintage power amp overdrive when you turn up the volume. All of this vintage magic is made possible by the unique midrange voice of the 10-inch Jensen Blackbird Alnico speaker, which perfectly complements the volume range and single-ended Class A power section. The power section is equipped with a built-in power attenuator that allows players to choose between full power and low power settings, providing even more options for seamless, musical transitions in and out of clips. TheFalcon 5 is the ideal amp for small gigs, practice at home and recording purposes. Featuring modern improvements, high-end performance, and boutique construction, the Falcon 5 is a vintage amp dream with a rugged, consistently modern design ethos.
