Description

New from Gallien-Krueger, the new NEO IV line of bass cabinets build off the previous versions but with an updated look, construction and features. Sharing a form factor with the Fusion and Legacy combo amplifiers, the NEO IV cabinets are the perfect extension cabinets for these combos, and the ultimate cabinets to pair with GK's Legacy and Fusion amplifier heads.

CABINET CONSTRUCTION

With a lightweight Plywood construction, the NEO IV series cabinets feature rigid bracing resulting in an incredibly sturdy enclosure. The cabinet is lined internally with damping material, which absorbs high frequencies from the back of the speaker, preventing them from coning out of the port and clashing with the high frequencies at the front of the speaker and creating a smooth, and pleasant high-end response. Thanks to the metal speaker grille and ultra-rugged cabinet coating, finished with metal corners, the NEO IV cabinets are designed to withstand heavy use and maintain their sleek appearance throughout the rigors of touring and performance.

SPEAKERS

The new NEO IV series utilizes custom-voiced Neodymium woofers designed and built by GK. These speakers are manufactured exclusively using die-cast frames, which offer greater reliability and power handling than cheaper and more traditionally stamped frame designs. The voice coils employ would aluminum ribbon wire, resulting in a more efficient speaker with superior power handling in comparison to more common round wire. These cabinets also feature a true crossover and a protection system saving the horn from excessive bursts of power.
