Compact, lightweight, and modestly powered, the Deluxe Reverb received an aesthetic update in 1968 - a silver and turquoise control panel with aluminum grille cloth, and tone, reverb, and tremolo that was still distinctly Fender.

The '68 Custom Deluxe Reverb also features all-tube circuitry, a vintage channel for classic "silverface" tone, a custom channel boasting Bassman tone stack, and increased touch response and faster gain onset thanks to the reduced negative feedback.
