From his time as the drummer for the legendary band Nirvana and to his success as the guitarist, singer, and songwriter for the Foo Fighters, the legend that is Dave GrohI needs no introduction. As a long-time Gibson user, his previous Gibson Signature guitars are still very popular and fetch some of the best prices -if- you can find them on the used market. Now, Epiphone is very proud to once again partner with Gibson Custom Shop on the release of the Dave Grohl DG-335. It combines the ES-335 with the features of his Trini Lopez model that Dave requested and fans have been eagerly anticipating. It features a semi-hollow ES™ body with bound diamond-shaped soundholes and a one-piece mahogany neck with an elliptical profile, Trini Lopez style headstock with Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners, laurel fretboard, and split diamond inlays. The pickups are Dave's favorite Gibson USA Burstbucker™ model, with a Burstbucker 2 in the neck and a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position. These are wired with CTS® potentiometers, Mallory™ capacitors, Switchcraft® 3-way toggle switches, and 1/4-inch output jacks.
