Led by brothers Joey and David Landreth, the band quickly gained recognition for their soulful songwriting and exceptional musicianship. In 2013, their debut album, Let It Lie, won a Juno Award, marking a major milestone in their career. DAVE'S BASS Based on Duesenburg's proven Starplayer bass design, Dave's bass provides the smooth yet defined foundation needed for The Bros. Ladreth's demanding songs. In this custom version, Duesenberg refined the bass's sonic concept to accurately reproduce the sound Dave envisioned. In the neck position, the acclaimed Duesenberg Alnico-Blade Bass single coil is housed in a custom silent version under a new gold foil-style cover. This pickup has classic single-coil clarity while suppressing unwanted on-stage noise. Noise canceling can be turned on/off with a small switch on the pickguard. The bridge position features the latest Duesenberg Gold-Foil Bass Singlecoil under a Phonico cover. This configuration provides exceptional clarity and clarity, while providing ample bass performance to fill your venue with rich tone. Each pickup has individual volume controls and a master-tone, allowing Dave to mix both pickups seamlessly.
TONAL CHARACTER: With a solid alder body, delivering quick attack and long sustain from the guitar, and a semi-hollow construction from maple and spruce for the bass, this set of instruments is perfectly geared to each other.
CUSTOM PICKUPS: Custom versions of our Split/King Pickup, as well as our very own interpretation of a classic Gold-Foil Singlecoil design, these instruments deliver exceptional tonal quality and a wide variety of sounds.
