The Cort A6 Plus FMMH is the perfect instrument for the playing bassist. Built to perform reliably gig after gig, with premium construction and components, including Bartolini pickups and electronics, Hipshot hardware, and a gorgeous aesthetic, this bass is sure to be a dependable companion for years to come.
The A6 Plus FMMH boasts a neck-thru construction, maximizing the resonance of the strings through the body and neck in a musical way, tightening up the low end, increasing punch and sustain, and allowing the mids and highs to sing unrestricted. These properties are only enhanced further as the Bartolini MK-1 Pickups capture the signal, delivering warm mids and brilliant highs with a expertly balanced character. Then the signal passes through the powerful Bartolini MK-1 EQ Preamp circuit, giving a transparent boost with it's signature high end. The MK-1 pushes the natural voice of the bass through a versatile 3-band EQ, providing flexibility for any situation, whether that be studio recording, playing live, or just rehearsing, ensuring you can sculpt the tone however you need. This preamp also features a switchable active/passive mode, so you can achieve sounds ranging from tight, aggressive and modern, all the way through to warm, organic and vintage. The warm and rich low midrange is complimented with a snappy and precise high mids and highs thanks to the beautiful Mahogany body and the 5-piece Maple and Panga Panga neck. The 5-piece construction of the neck provides outstanding strength, and the bright character of the Maple pairs brilliantly with the rich mids of Panga Panga, resulting in incredible playing feel, definition and tone. Rounding out the stunning appearance of this bass is a gorgeous Flame Maple top, giving a sense of class and sophistication to a very versatile and capable instrument. Premium features don't stop there, however. The A6 Plus FMMH also boasts a Hipshot® TransTone bridge - a string-thru-body design with top load construction results in a wide tonal range, while maximizing attack and sustain, a perfect compliment to the increased tension of the 34" scale. Finally, a set of cast zinc Hipshot® Ultralite Tuners with aluminum string posts and mounting nuts reduce weight by 30% compared to standard tuners, and also enhance tuning stability and balance.
