A Variety of Sounds and Sources The MC 950 true condenser microphone's near-linear frequency response makes it ideal for use with a variety of sound sources, including pianos, choirs, orchestras, and all types of solo instruments. This microphone provides excellent results when recording a combination of spoken and sung vocals when used with the WS 101 wind shield. The MC 950 is particularly strong when it is necessary to effectively shield sound from the sides. With an almost frequency-independent supercardioid characteristic, this microphone is ideal for sound suppressing at 140° and 220°. As Easy as Flipping a Switch Thanks to the switchable attenuation (-15 dB), the MC 950 can also be used for loud instruments. Disruptuve bass and low-mid frequencies that are caused, proximity effects, etc. Can be minimised by using a switchable low-cut filter of 6 dB/octave at 250 Hz. This microphone operates with 11-52V phantom power. Fast and Faster Thanks to its lightweight, gold-vapourised diaphragm, the MC 950 exhibits excellent vibration and impulse behaviour. This makes signals sound natural and precise throughout the session. The handmade true condenser capsule boasts excellent transient response, enabling it to quickly reproduce even percussive sounds. Durable Our microphones are designed for daily use in professional conditions, which is why only durable materials are used in their construction. If the microphone nevertheless gets damaged, our service policy means that we can replace almost every part.
