Tone shaping, level control and EQ are all important features for acoustic guitar players. The Ashdown Preamp Reverb Pedal goes a step further from this basic functionality and is spiced up with some extra features. The Preamp Reverb Pedal has a very simple but effective layout that utilises many features of Ashdown's popular Woodsman acoustic guitar amplifier series. It includes a notch filter, high and low EQ (bass/treble) controls, a notch frequency control for feedback resonance, and a footswitch able shape button that puts the player at the forefront of the mix when it matters most. The pedal has two inputs for an instrument (jack) and a microphone (XLR), allowing players to jump in directly with their guitar while still using a microphone for vocals. The assignable reverb switch allows you to choose which channel to apply the reverb to. This means you can add reverb to the guitar, the vocals, or both at the same time. The addition of reverb to Ashdown's acoustic line allows for even more tone shaping options that acoustic guitarists crave. As you'd expect from a great acoustic preamp pedal, it also features a very handy balanced DI output, allowing guitarists to easily route their signal directly to a PA - no need for a separate DI box! The Pre/Post switch on the back of the pedal sends either the clean signal (Pre) or the effected signal (Post) to the balanced DI output. Finally, a true bypass mute switch keeps the input signal uncolored when the pedal is not in use.
