Stereo Sound Sculpting The NM2 takes the signal from the bass and splits it internally to two outputs. Each output delivers its own mix of the original signal (input level) plus two separate and very different types of distortion (one for each output). Because the unaltered bass signal is passed from input to output and the distortion effect is added, the resulting sound is always rich and dynamic, and the effect adds rich harmonics to the core sound of the bass. When used with a stereo system, each output can be routed to a separate amplifier and the individually adjustable bass overdrive effect can be switched on or off for output 1, output 2 or both. When used with a single amplifier, the 1+2 switch allows both effects to be routed to output 2. Setting the level Whether you're using an active or passive bass, the Ashdown VU meter in combination with the Input level knob let's you easily find the sweet spot, ensuring you get the best possible tone in and out - whatever instrument you're using. Built for the road We know the rigours of the live gigging, that's why we build our pedals tough enough for whatever the road throws at them. Metal casings, premium controls and switches, recessed knobs and kickguards to protect screens and VU meters – bring it on! True Bypass Switching We don't mess with your tone. Ashdown Pedals feature genuine 'true bypass' switching for zero-colouration of your input signal when the pedal isn't in use. The Output level control lets you dial in the perfect balance between the effect and the true bypass level.
