The Builder’s Edition 614ce features our popular Grand Auditorium body, a torrefied Sitka spruce top, back and sides of figured Big Leaf maple, and our patented V-Class bracing.

That combination yields an ultra-responsive, player-reflective sound, elevating maple’s natural transparency in a way that can sound warm, bright or whatever a player’s hands decide. The V-Class architecture improves the volume, sustain and projection, and creates more harmonic agreement between notes by putting the top more in tune with the strings.

Our proprietary roasting process for the Sitka spruce top lowers the damping effect and helps deliver a more played-in tone. Ergonomic body details (exclusive to Builder’s Edition) include a beveled armrest with beveled body edge treatment; a double-carved cutaway that allows fluid access to the higher frets without the need to change one’s hand position; and our new Silent Satin finish, which reduces contact noise for a cleaner overall sound. Gold Gotoh 510 tuners (featuring a 21:1 gear ratio) complete the suite of tactile delights.

Striking aesthetic details include a new Wild Honey Burst on the back, sides and neck (an optional burst-top version is also available), our mother-of-pearl Sceptor fretboard/peghead inlay, and inset maple/black body purfling with matching rosette. The guitar comes equipped with our ES2 electronics and ships in a deluxe hardshell case.

Features

Grand Auditorium
Taylor’s signature shape embodies the ultimate all-purpose acoustic.

Sitka SpruceTop Woods
The soundboard choice for most guitars, Sitka spruce produces a broad dynamic range and accommodates a versatile range of playing styles.

Maple
Revoiced to produce greater warmth, complexity, volume, sustain and responsiveness

Expression System® 2Electronics
The Expression System® 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design.

Beveled Cutaway
A smooth, double-contoured cutaway provides easy access to even the highest frets without changing hand positions.

V-Class Bracing
A revolutionary design that balances the flexibility and stability of the top, V-Class bracing produces unmatched sustain, volume, and intonation.

Specifications

Highlights
Scale Length: 25-1/2"
Nut & Saddle: Black Graphite, Micarta saddle
Bracing: V-Class
Truss Rod Cover: West African Ebony
Pickguard: None
Number of Frets: 20
Tuners: Gotoh
Case: Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Brown
Brand of Strings: Elixir Phosphor Bronze Light
Body Length: 20"
Body Width: 16"
Body Depth: 4 5/8"

Body
Binding/Edge Treatment: West African Ebony
Top Finish: Silent Satin
Back Config: 2-piece No Wedge
Backstrap Finish: None
Rosette Size: Single Ring
Bridge Inlay: None
Back/Side Finish: Silent Satin
Armrest Binding: Beveled, no binding
Backstrap Wood: None
Rosette Mat.: Wood/Fiber
Stain/Sunburst: Wild Honey Burst Back/Sides/Neck, Natural Top
Wedge: None
Armrest: yes

Neck
Neck Width: 1-3/4"
Fretboard Inlay: Scepter, Mother of Pearl
Fretboard Binding/Edge Treatment: West African Ebony
Heel Cap Binding: West African Ebony
Type of Neck Joint: Taylor Neck
Neck/Heel: Hard Rock Maple
Fretboard Wood: West African Ebony
Neck Finish: Satin
Heel Length: 3-1/4"

Peghead
Peghead Finish: Satin
Peghead Binding: None
Peghead Type: Standard
Peghead Purfling: None
Headstock Overlay: West African Ebony
Peghead Inlay: Scepter, Mother of Pearl
Peghead Logo: Taylor Mother of Pearl

Other
Bridge Pins: West African Ebony
Buttons: Gold
Fingerboard Ext: None
Edge Trim: None

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0953/3793/9232/files/TG614CEBENAT-1_dee5e435-2b46-4009-8e0e-c334b9567e5c.jpg?v=1762332939
https://megamusiconline.com.au/products/tg-614ce-be-nat-taylor-614ce-builders-edition-cutaway-acoustic-guitar-with-pickup-natural
