An ebony bridge and fingerboard add to the instrument’s tonal clarity and visual elegance, while the traditional nitrocellulose finish ensures enhanced resonance that will age beautifully over time. Inside, scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing and an improved dovetail neck joint help make this the lightest and most resonant D-55 ever. The fully bound fingerboard and Guild’s signature headstock with “Peak and Shield” inlays showcase its premium craftsmanship, along with abalone and pearl “V-Block” inlays and intricate multi-line purfling. The one-piece mahogany neck features a striking walnut center seam, blending strength with beauty. Available in Natural or Antique Burst, each guitar is hand-finished for maximum sonic response.
