The sleek ebony fingerboard and bridge, scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing, and expertly hand-fit dovetail neck joint make this the most dynamic, lightweight, and sonically powerful D-55 yet. Visually striking, the D-55 features Guild’s iconic bound headstock with a figured ebony overlay and the signature “Peak and Shield” inlay. The fully bound ebony fingerboard is adorned with beautiful abalone/pearl V-block inlays and elegant multi-line railroad track purfling along both sides. The one-piece mahogany neck with a walnut center stripe adds both strength and classic style. Finished in hand-sprayed nitrocellulose for maximum tonal resonance, the D-55 not only sounds phenomenal—it ages beautifully.
