Description

Drawing from over 60 years of innovation, inspiration, and evolution, the American Professional II Precision Bass was built to meet the needs of today's working players. Featuring a '63 P Bass-shaped neck with smooth, rolled fretboard edges, and with the "Super-Natural" satin finish along with the newly-carved neck heel, this bass provides effortless access to the higher frets for an incredibly comfortable playing feel. Voiced by a set of Fender V-Mod II Precision Bass split-coil pickup, this guitar delivers classic P Bass punch and growl.

For instant familiarity, and outstanding tonal flexibility that you can immediately hear and feel, the broad refinements of the American Pro II Precision Bass combine to set the new gold standard for professional instruments.

Features
  • Single V-Mod II split-coil Precision Bass pickup
  • '63 P Bass neck profile
  • Bone nut; 20 narrow-tall frets for familiar playing feel
  • HiMass™ Vintage bridge for increased sustain
  • Tapered-shaft tuning machines; Posiflex graphite rods for neck reinforcement
  • Includes Deluxe Molded hardshell case

V-Mod II Pickup - This modified version of Fender's classic pickup design, the V-Mod II Precision Bass pickups deliver the classic warmth, attack, and articulation that put Fender on the map.

New Sculpted Neck Heel - With a rounded neck heel and beveled neck plate, this guitar provides uninhibited access to the upper frets for comfortable and effortless fretting.

HiMass Vintage Bridge - With a cold-rolled steel baseplate, high-mass brass backstop and chrome-plated brass saddles, this precision-made string-through or top-load bridge delivers outstanding sustain, resonance, and authoritative attack.

'63 P Bass Neck Profile - Widely considered to be the gold standard of bass neck profiles, the '63 P Bass neck profile in combination with the Super-Natural Satin finish on the back of the neck, and rolled fretboard edges results in a smooth and comfortable playing feel - allowing for effortless fretting across the entire range of the neck.

Posiflex Graphite Rods - All American Professional bass necks feature Posiflex graphite reinforcing rods to reduce movement that occurs with climate fluctuations. These rods are embedded underneath the fretboard, and offer greater reliability on stage, in the studio, or at home.

Tapered-Shaft  Machine Heads - Starting wide at the top, and gradually narrowing towards the bottom, the tapered machine heads push the string winding downwards to maintain string tension. This increases the break angle over the nut for greater sustain and reliable tuning stability.
