8300584-gibson-falcon-20-1x12-tube-combo-guitar-amplifier
Gibson Falcon 20 1x12 Tube Combo Guitar Amplifier
Inspired by the Gibson Falcon amps of the 1960s, this all-new design from renowned amplifier pioneer Randall Smith and the MESA/Boogie design team is handcrafted in Petaluma, California, and offers a new level of low-power sound. What sets the Falcon 20 apart from its predecessor is Randall's 50-year philosophy of tube amplifier design and pushing the boundaries of amplifiers, which has yielded truly astonishing results.

Falcon 20 features single-channel simplicity with a focus on great sound and ease of use. The extremely simple and pure signal path design features volume and tone controls, as well as footswitch reverb and tremolo functions, adding dimension and movement, greatly increasing the amplifier's enjoyment and usefulness in a variety of musical styles.

Knowledgeable players have long recognised that one of the secrets to great overdriven tone is power amp overdrive, and lower-powered amps are key to turning up and achieving that cranked power amp sound without overwhelming volume levels. The Gibson Falcon 20 1x12 Combo is perfect for those looking for a touch-sensitive, subtle response in the low to mid-range of the gain and power spectrum, with rich harmonies of vintage power amp overdrive when you turn up the volume.

All this sonic magic is delivered by the vintage voice of the 12-inch Jensen Blackbird alnico speakers, perfectly complementing the volume range and Class A power section. Players can choose full, half, or low power modes (12, 5, or 1 watt) using the patented Multi-Watt™, 6V6, pure Class A power, or 15, 6, or 2-Watts with optional 6L6 Power Tubes offering three levels of expressive vintage Gibson tone and feel.

This performance flexibility provides even more possibilities for transitioning in and out of clip seamlessly and musically, making the Falcon 20 an ideal amplifier for club performance, home practice, and recording purposes. With modern sophistication, premium performance, and boutique construction, this Falcon 20 surpasses even Gibson's most prized vintage gems.

Features

Handcrafted in Petaluma, California

All-Tube Amplifier: 2x 6V6 Power Tube (optional 2x 6L6) / 4x 12AX7 Preamp Tubes

Pure Class A Power

Patented Multi-Watt™ Power, featuring Duo-Class™ wiring, providing power choices of FULL power (approx. 12 Watts) - 2x 6V6

Push-Pull, Class A, Pentode; HALF power (approx. 5 Watts) - 2x 6V6 Push-Pull, Class A, Triode; or LOW power (approx. 1 Watt) -

1x 6V6 Single-Ended, Class A, Pentode (approx. 15 Watts, 6 Watts, and 2 Watts with optional 6L6 Power Tubes)

Cathode Biased, Maintenance-Free

Single Channel Simplicity – Channel Features: Normal & Low (Cleaner) Inputs, Volume, Tone, Reverb, Tremolo Depth & Frequency Controls

Footswitchable, All-Tube Spring Reverb

Footswitchable, All-Tube Tremolo

Monitor (Slave) DI Output – Fixed Attenuated from the Speaker Output

Polished Stainless Steel Control Faceplate

Aluminum Chassis

12” Jensen Blackbird Alnico Speaker

Specifications

General

Product Name and Format: Falcon 20 1x12 Combo

Product Series: Falcon Series

Build Location: Handcrafted in Petaluma, CA, with the World’s Finest Materials

Overview

Wattage: Selectable Full, Half, or Low Multi-Watt™ Power Modes, producing approximately 12, 5, or 1-Watt(s) of

output power (approx. 15, 6, or 2-Watts with optional 6L6 Power Tubes)

Power Tube Type: 2x 6V6 (or optional 2x 6L6)

Channels and Modes: 1 Channel / 2 Modes (Normal or Low)

Mode Voicings and Styles: Normal & Low Inputs

Normal = Clean to Overdrive

Low = Cleaner

Graphic EQ / Reverb / FX / Solo: Reverb, Tremolo

Footswitch functions: Reverb On/Off, Tremolo On/Off

Speakers(s) & Impedance: 12” Jensen Blackbird ALNICO Speaker, 8 Ohm

Weight: 31 lbs.
