The e 845 is definitely worth considering.

The e 845 offers tremendous value with its solid metal construction (no cheap plastics), German engineering and a sound that is solid and will project the way you need a microphone to.

Why choose a super-cardiod like an e 845 as opposed to a simple cardiod? The answer is that the super-cardiod has a very focussed pickup area. This means it will operate directly at your vocalist and eliminate any surrounding noise, such as speakers, making it noise and feedback resistant. This is handy in environments with echo in particular. However on top of this, the focus is valuable for those with some microphone handling skill, such as speakers and singers - you'll pick up just them in more detail without anything else.

Vocals become more alive and sound wider and more open - even at different speaking proximities. Designed as a super-cardioid, the e 845 easily eliminates ambient noise. A reliable, easy-to-use companion for presentations, conferences, spoken word performance, choirs as well as rehearsal rooms and on stage.

The S-version of the e 845 comes with a noiseless on/off switch.

Features

Dynamic super-cardioid microphone for speech and vocals

Extended high frequency range

Consistent sound quality (varying distances, moving off axis)

Handles high sound pressure levels

Optional silent on/off switch

Isolates handling noise, hum compensating coil

Excellent feedback rejection

Rugged metal housing
